5 Tips for Working as an Escort in 2024
21/05/2024Do escorts need professional photos?
03/06/2024Update June 2024: there is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that Niteflirt (a USA based company) provides information on its workers to the US government, but UK sex workers should read this post before signing up and handing over their ID.
I am absolutely passionate about helping disadvantaged women and those of reduced means earn extra cash. Being poor is supremely shit, and being so as a mother is even worse. I won’t discuss the many statistics and data points that prove the long-term, adverse affects of poverty, we all know the realities and the facts are out there if you choose to go find them. Instead, what I do want to chat about is a route into sex work that can help ease poverty, but doesn’t take you out of the home, which can be an issue when you have children and a small to non-existent support network. I wish I had known about working as a phone sex operator (PSO) when I used to sit in darkness with my newborn baby because I couldn’t afford to put money in the electricity meter. I didn’t, but if you’ve stumbled across this post because you are desperate to earn extra money from home, then herein follows a little bit of wisdom that may work for you.
When you first start looking into working as a phone sex operator, you will find quite a few websites that don’t really tell you much about what you will earn but shill top rates/flexible hours/work from home etc. These are not the websites that men call for phone sex, they are completely separate and are setup purely to recruit operators. My first piece of advice: ignore these websites. They will pay you shit money, they will expect a certain amount of hours and they will sack you if you hang up on callers. And the ability to control who you hang up on is important, because staying on the line with certain callers could be hugely detrimental to your mental health (more on this later).
So where should you work as a phone sex operator? First and foremost, you must always work for yourself. And my advice is to start at the original and still most lucrative website that self-employed PSOs use: Niteflirt. Niteflirt is an American website/company which at first may seem like a barrier to a woman sat on her sofa in the UK, but I can assure it isn’t. They are happy to work with UK operators (or flirts as they call us) and they forward calls to a UK mobile number without issue. They pay quickly and they pay reliably, at rates you set. They pay in US dollars and you will need a US dollar bank account. Wise offer them, as do HSBC, Barclays and so on. If for any reason you struggle to get a USD bank account (you only need a personal account, not business), then Niteflirt will pay you via cheque. Yes, they will send you a cheque to the UK. But try and get a USD bank account because it makes things a ton easier. Banks, of course, don’t like anything to do with the sex industry, so don’t tell them what it’s really for!
The key to success on Niteflirt is creating compelling and alluring characters that men want to call. You can have x3 Niteflirt characters per mobile number, and each character can have a number of listings that span the categories across the website. These categories vary from sex, oral, housewives, girl next door to femme domme, foot fetish and BDSM. I personally make money on Niteflirt via two characters – a dominatrix and a ‘bored naughty housewife’ character. I have about 5 listings for each lady, spanning relevant categories to their characters. Callers will pay more for specialist Domme chat than they will for standard sex chat, so my minute rates vary between the two (just under $3 a min for the Domme, just under $2 a min for the housewife). I use my own photos for my characters, but I hide my face. If you do not want to use your own photos, you can buy adult model photos and use those instead. Always make sure you have permission for the photos you use, and note that explicit and topless photos are not tolerated on the main Niteflirt public listings, so keep the photos seductive but clean.
Niteflirt is going to take time to master. You need to sign up as a flirt, get used to navigating the website, and explore the ‘flirt forums’ to take in the plethora of advice available for making yourself a success. Niteflirt listings use HTML code – if you already know this it’s a bonus, if you don’t it’s really simple to learn the basics to make a pretty listing. Professional phone sex itself is not something people can often do off the bat, it takes time to learn. But don’t let that stop you – just fake it till you make it, and learn as you go along. When I took my first Dominatrix call, I hadn’t a fucking clue what I was going on about….I felt like I was talking jibberish. In fact, the guy told me I was too nice and hung up on me! Now, two years down the line, no one ever hangs up on me as I am an expert at managing calls. I have many repeat customers and if I dedicate myself fully to Niteflirt for a month – which I sometimes do when I feel burnt out with in person sex work – I can earn a lot of money (think thousands, not hundreds). I am a high earner there, and there is no reason you cannot be too.
There is so much earning potential at Niteflirt that I simply cannot cover it all in this post. The main thing though is you have been signposted there, and you can self-teach yourself everything. Even if you earn an extra few hundred a month, it’s surely going to help so I recommend you give it a go if you are strapped. To recap, my top tips for making money on Niteflirt:
- Sign up as a flirt and then do nothing but read and learn for a couple of weeks.
- Look at what other flirts are doing, and come up with a couple of awesome characters/brands. Unless you have a very strong constitution for chatting to abusive losers, avoid characters that are too submissive.
- Be firm on your boundaries and hang up on people who cross them. I refuse to discuss anything under 18. It’s prohibited at Niteflirt anyway as they are a responsible platform, but calls are not monitored and so some of the callers try it on. Just be clear and if they don’t listen, hang up the call and block them.
- Take or source some great photos. Your own shots will work best as callers really want to feel they are talking to the lady in the photos, but if you are worried that the way you look may not work, or if you want to vary your characters, then purchase some. There are many high earning flirts who have NEVER used their own photos. The stripperweb forum thread linked to above, or the Niteflirt forums (which will become accessible once you sign up as a flirt), will give you ideas as to where to buy unique model images. If that fails, https://extralunchmoney.com is a resource where you can pay for amateur photos directly from the models. Give her the brief, she takes the photos, you use them on Niteflirt with her permission and pass her off as you. Simple. *Note that standard stock image rights usually prohibit adult website use so it’s not as simple as heading to istockphoto and so on.
- Finally and most importantly the mantra I have lived my entire life by: fake it til you make it. Like any job, PSO work takes time to learn. You will pick it up as you go along and get more tuned into the wants and needs of your callers. Domme calls are the most lucrative but also the most complex. Read, watch, learn and understand as much about BDSM as you can. But you will pick up most of it on the job, so just get on with taking the calls and blag it until one day you realise you GET IT!
Once you have mastered Niteflirt, and in particular begun to understand much more about BDSM and the mindset of submissive men, another website I highly recommend for the self-employed PSO is Dommeline. This is a European company with a UK focus, and they pay directly into your UK bank account at the end of each month. The guys that run it are great in my experience, and they do a lot of really good promo on Twitter too. The focus here is obviously being a Dominatrix, and the best advice I can give you when it comes to Dommeline – where you can only have ONE character – is make her a great one. Take everything you have learned on Niteflirt, and create a character that the guys can’t wait to call. Don’t scrimp on photos, take or use the best you can. Again, ideally your own but if that’s not possible, source some really good unique ones. And if you have the energy, create her a Twitter account and use that for extra promo.
I hope the above helps. A google search for working as as a phone sex operator / adult chat / phone sex jobs will likely take you to all the wrong places where your income potential will be low, and your burnout high. Using Niteflirt and Dommeline will, I hope, ease some of your financial burden each month – a little bit or maybe even a lot. Note that all of the links I have posted to these two websites are affiliate links, meaning I get a kick back if you sign up (appreciated if you’ve found this post useful). Good luck on your PSO journey, and feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.
