28/12/2022Following my post about finding an escort photographer, I thought it would be a good idea to cover planning your photoshoot. Booking the tog is the easy bit! Getting yourself prepped so you get the most bang for your buck is where it gets time consuming. But please trust me on this: meticulous planning is required. You can’t just throw any old pants into a suitcase and hope for the best. Nope, you really need consider different looks and then source the lingerie + nylons + accessories + shoes. The best place to start is by looking around other escort photos for inspiration. Then come back here and read these tips:
Lingerie: Your photographer will confirm how many outfit changes are included. Typically you will be looking at 3, 4 or 5. Be sure to plan not only varied lingerie styles, but also varied colours. Do not turn up with just black lingerie. Instead, do one black lingerie set, perhaps with black stockings and suspenders + black heels too, and then consider lingerie in bright, bold colours to make you really stand out. Reds, blues, greens, yellows etc. Make sure you have nude hold ups/stockings to compliment the lingerie, and don’t forget matching shoes.
Top tip 1: never wear a suspender belt without actual stockings or a suspender garter attached. Guys LOVE stockings and suspenders. Never leave the clips just hanging lose, it’s a waste of a sales opportunity!
Top tip 2: avoid avoid avoid baby dolls and similar floaty garments including gowns unless you are super-skinny. Whatever your body shape and dress size – fitted items will show you at your very best.
Knickers: when it comes to photoshoot pants, thongs and Brazilian knickers are your only friends. Your bottom will look rounder and fuller framed in these styles, while traditional briefs which cover the buttocks will make it appear flatter. Avoid pin-up style lingerie, as the knickers are often unflattering.

Swimwear: It doesn’t have to be just lingerie – consider a swimwear option too. That could be a sexy swimsuit, monokini or bikini. Considering summery style heels with this outfit such high wedges, tan leather shades and so on. Accessorize with bold gold-coloured costume bracelets/bangles and necklaces and even a pair of sunglasses.
Dress shot: it can be a good idea to show your potential date-to-be how you might look on an evening out. So choose your most lovely fitted dress, heels and jewellery. I would only recommend a dress shot if you have quite a few outfits to play with in your shoot. For smaller shoots, keep the focus on lingerie.
Nudes: nudes/topless are a personal decision. You don’t need either, though they can work well if done tastefully.
Shoes: when it comes to heels, the photoshoot motto is the higher the better. The harder the heels are to walk in and the more likely you are to break your ankles wearing them, the better your legs will look in the finished photos. Avoid mid-size or kitten heels as they won’t look anywhere near as good in the finished shots. Also avoid platforms and those with chunky heels, and instead opt for traditional court shapes and thin stiletto heels. Expensive looking stiletto boots are also an option and can be worked into outfits in wonderfully sexy ways. Remember – shoe colour should match or complement outfit colour. Don’t just take black shoes!
Health and safety and all that: the stupidly high heels are for the shoot only….you can of course wear lower heels to your dates.
Hair: if your hair is short/fine/thin/damaged consider purchasing some clip in hair extensions to improve its look. They really do make a difference on the day. For long, thick hair, get it styled in the way you like before the shoot, as the makeup artist on the day will have limited time for hair and is not an expert (though she will put in hair extensions).
Nails: get a manicure and pedicure the day before your shoot. If you bite your finger nails or if they are otherwise unsuitable for a manicure, then I highly recommend these stick on nails which last for several weeks and look very natural.
Spray Tan: not necessary, a good photographer will make you look good whatever your skin tone.
Starving Yourself for Weeks Pre-Shoot: not necessary, a good photographer will make your look good whatever your shape.
Dressing Gown: take a comfortable dressing gown. When you get to your shoot, you will need to take your kit off straight away to let any marks on your skin from your clothes settle. Reminder – NO floaty gowns worn during the shoot please!
Be on Time: photographers work to rigid timescales, so don’t be late for your shoot. If your journey to the venue is arduous, consider staying in a local hotel the night before rather than risking bad traffic on the day. Stress is not a good precursor to a relaxed and successful shoot, and neither is only getting half the time because you were late.
Shopping Ideas
As frustrating at it is, the higher the quality the lingerie, the better the final look. Invest in your photoshoot outfits as diligently as you invest in the photographer. Do not spend £1500 on a shoot and turn up with stuff from Shein, I beg. Remember: you are dressing for 5* hotel dates.
